Biography:
Hamisi Ramadhan Mubarak is a dedicated academic and tech enthusiast currently pursuing a Ph.D. in STEM Education at the University of Colorado Boulder. His educational journey has been marked by a strong foundation in Computer Science and Engineering, which he cultivated through a Higher Diploma completed in 2013.
Driven by a passion for both technology and education, Hamisi continued his academic pursuits, earning a B.Sc. and a Masters in Technical Education with a specialization in Computer Science and Engineering in 2016. This educational journey laid the groundwork for his future contributions to the field of education.
With a commitment to sharing knowledge and nurturing young minds, Hamisi embarked on a teaching career. He spent two years as a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), where he imparted valuable insights to budding computer science enthusiasts.
Building on his teaching experience, Hamisi took his expertise to the international stage, serving as an Assistant Professor at the Islamic University of Technology in Bangladesh for four years. During this time, he continued to inspire students while further enriching his own understanding of educational technologies.
Currently, Hamisi is pursuing a Ph.D. in STEM Education, where his research interests encompass a wide array of cutting-edge topics, including STEM Education, Learning Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, IoT (Internet of Things), Smart Cities, Educational Technologies, and ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development). His dedication to these areas reflects his commitment to shaping the future of education and technology.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Hamisi Mubarak wears the hat of a Full Stack Developer, serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Colorado. This dual role underscores his versatility and proficiency in both academia and technology.
